Bukit Peraksi terletak di dalam daerah Semerak, Pasir Puteh kira-kira 13 km dari Bandar Pasir Puteh. Bukit Peraksi merupakan antara tempat yang terawal di semenanjung Malaysia yang digunakan sebagai pusat cerapan melihat anak bulan bagi penentuan Puasa, Hari Raya Puasa dan Hari Raya Korban. Bukit Peraksi menjadi tempat yang sesuai kerana kedudukannya yang strategik iaitu berhampiran dengan laut serta mempunyai ketinggian 88.697 meter dari aras laut.
Bukit Peraksi is located at Semerak , Pasir Putih approximately 13 km from the Pasir Puteh town. Bukit Peraksi is one of the earliest observation centres in the peninsular to observe the moon in determining the fasting month, Idul-Fitri and Idul-Adha. Bukit Peraksi has been chosen due to its strategic location which is nearby the sea with the height of 88.697 meters above.
